how to identify Air cooled , oil cooled and liquid cooled engine

Air cooled VS oil cooled VS liquid cooled

Qno.1 what is engine and what are its types?

Ans: An engine is the soul of bike. Without an engine a bike cannot operate. A bike should have perfect engine. There are all most 3 type of engine used in bikes.

1. Air cooled engine:

This type of engine are used in small cc bikes (125cc – 150cc). it keep engine cool by using the help of air. As shown in the photo we can see small fins/valve in engine from where air passes and make engine cool. Fins provide enough surface area for air to pass through the engine and help to absorb heat.

2. Oil cooled engine:

This type of engine is specially used in 200cc bikes. It not only cool engine but it also cool oil which make heat absorbing more efficient. Although the engine might look same because both air cooled and oil cooled have valve for air to pass but we can easily identify by looking its fan/radiator.

3. Liquid cooled engine:

It is modern type of engine specially used in high cc bikes. It is one of the most effective way of cooling engine because it does not have any valve, it uses special type of liquid in order to make engine cool and prevent engine form rusting.

Qno.2 How to identify air cooled, oil cooled and liquid cooled engine?

Ans: we can easily identify engine just by looking it. As shown in the photo if a engine contain valve only then it is air cooled engine.if a engine contain both valve and fan/radiator then it is oil cooled engine. But if a engine doesnot have any valve and big radiator than it is liquid cooled engine
